Lee Stocking Island, Exumas, Bahamas
A great place to stop heading north from George Town, Great Exuma in the Exuma Sound is at Lee Stocking Island. The Caribbean Research Center has been abandoned but the hiking trails across to the windward beach are great. You can anchor off the twin beaches at Williams Cay and hike to several great beaches as well. At high tide you can dinghy into the salt pond in the center of neighboring Normans Pond Cay.
