Bennetts Harbour, Cat Island, Bahamas

Rounding Cape Eleuthera and cruising along the southern end of Eluethera are the best deep water fishing grounds. We passed the cruise ship landing and then on past Little San Salvador Island that had a cruise ship anchored off Half Moon Cay. On towards Cat Island, with Orange Creek and Arthurs Town Settlements to the north, we headed to Bennetts Harbour.

Bonds Cay, Berry Islands, Bahamas

Seeking out a calm anchorage for windy weather ahead, we moved from Cabbage Cay, past Frozen and Alders Cays to Bonds Cay by slipping through the charted path at high tide to the anchorage out of the ocean swells. Our choice of beach on the banks side or a hike across the island to the Tongue of the Ocean side beach great for beach combing. Black Point Settlement, Great Guana Cay, Exumas, Bahamas

Black Point Settlement on Great Guana Cay attracts cruisers for its selection of restaurants, water view laundromat and free water and garbage disposal. The locals are friendly and welcoming and there's a huge sandbar at low tide and great hiking along the sound side beach all the way to the cut.
