Rock Sound, Eleuthera Island, Bahamas

Image
The settlement of Rock Sound on Rock Sound Harbour has a huge all around protection anchorage that attracts boats when a cold front is coming. Rock Sound is cruiser friendly with two dinghy docks, two grocery stores, gas stations, laundromat, restaurants, stores and more along with friendly folks. The dinghy dock is what remains of the original pier The church and regatta site along the shore next to dock Local flavor More local flavor Friendly "potcake" dog called that since they are fed the leftover rice in the pot Another  Atlantic side beach with great sea glass Joined on our beach walk by green heron Surprising to see morning glories on the sand Inlet cut off and now a salt pond Always amazed to see what you'll find on the beach Ocean hole is like a swimming pool with fish Hard to see the fish until you feed them that fisherman have dumped in ocean hole Pretty
